What to Expect
You Are Welcome Here!
We understand that visiting a new place can be a bit daunting, especially if you’re not particularly social. At First United, you are not just welcome—you are respected, seen, and heard. Come as you are! Whether you prefer to dress up or keep it casual, we want you to feel comfortable during your worship experience.
Get Settled In
As you arrive, feel free to grab a cup of coffee, hot cocoa or juice for the kids (in your own spill proof cups) to enjoy during the service. Take a moment to relax and connect with others in our friendly environment. Choose any seat that feels right for you.
Come Back Home to Traditional Worship
While times may change and music may modernize, we believe in the power of traditional worship to connect you with the Lord. Our service focuses on building and strengthening your relationship with God. Worship here is about discipleship, rooted in Biblical values, rather than entertainment. Our glorious pipe organ will fill your heart with the spirit of Christ!
Join Us for Fellowship
After the service, we invite you to the lobby for refreshments provided by our generous members. Take this time to enjoy some fellowship and conversation. If you’re interested, consider joining one of our groups, like The Searcher’s Class or Our Going Deeper Class. If you can’t stay after worship, we also offer various activities throughout the week, including Church League Dartball and Bell Choir.
We look forward to welcoming you into our family!
Do your beliefs align with ours?
At First United Methodist Church, we believe in God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit, the infallible Word of the Bible, and the importance of helping others in our community. If you’re seeking to nurture your relationship with Christ and have time, love, and passion to share, we invite you to join us for our Sunday service at 10 AM.
Our congregation is a dedicated group of individuals united in our mission: to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of our community. We hold that Jesus Christ is the fullest expression of God’s love, revealing His care through His teachings, death, and resurrection.
Come be a part of our journey as we grow in faith and serve one another!
“And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” Hebrews 13:16
“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” Hebrews 10:23-25
